In Robert Lewis’s book RAISING A MODERN DAY KNIGHT, the author speaks about finding your “transcendent cause”, something bigger than yourself that is “truly heroic, timeless, and supremely meaningful”.
Personally, I wrestled with the idea of a personal transcendent cause in the context of my vocation. What is it that we, as financial advisors, do that qualifies as truly heroic, timeless, and supremely meaningful?

Finally, my imagination was fully engaged – that indeed my client relationships could and would transcend merely numbers on a page.
